We are an Interpath Community of Nature Spirituality composed of eclectic earth-loving people    who have been co-creating free events to celebrate the Wheel of the Year since 1990

About Us

The Spiral Grove is a 501c3 charitable organization and interpath community that is dedicated to, but not limited to, co-creating free, open events to celebrate together the Wheel of the Year. Occasionally, we also perform Rites of Passage; e.g. births, deaths, initiations, first moons, etc. as needed.

For those interested in expanding personal growth and spirituality beyond the individual's path we offer a  Path to Ordination Program providing opportunities to connect with others and learn how to co-create a strong and vibrant community. Upon completion of the program, participants are legally recognized in the state of Virginia as ordained clergy and can perform legal marriages.

Celebrate With Us

We welcome you to any of the Spiral Grove events. Our rituals are free of admission. Some events, classes, and workshops are for nominal fees (usually to cover materials, overhead for the space, etc.) and most of these will offer the option of sliding scale fees accepted or that bartering is welcome. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

Help for Our Future

Our supportive members and friends are the fertile soil from which our Grove grows. Your presence and support help to bring depth and vibrancy to our work when we gather together to celebrate and educate others, to unify and create opportunities for inclusiveness in our ceremonies and fundraising events, and to help people whenever we can.

We are always seeking connections with new people, new ideas, and our Grove, like a tree is still growing in both roots and branches. Now is a wonderful time to enjoy it and connect with others.

Our Growth

In 1990, Maya White Sparks (then known as Toni White) founded the Spiral Grove with the help of an eclectic group of earth-loving people in Rappahannock County, Virginia, USA. This marked a new level in the evolution of Maya’s spirituality and is part of the story of the evolution of pagan spirituality at the end of the Twentieth century and the beginning of the second millennia. Maya had moved to the beautiful rural area of Rappahannock County around 1980, shortly after being initiated by a Dianic Coven in Washington, DC…

We’re run by volunteers to keep most of our offerings free for everyone.
